HI.
I am testing ABD handrails and have found that there is no real improvement to that of the same tool in BA. Does anyone have any realistic handrails for UK housing, that work and go around a U turn correctly, plus look correct on the 2d drawings.
Thanks
Ian
Ian, there was no handrail tool per se in Bentley Architecture, only a series of PAZs that could be manually placed in situ, though the intermediate members would not adjust to follow an incline or decline. When placing a handrail in ABD it can be placed by directly selecting the stair and will follow that stair's direction and angle.
Can you provide an image or example of the type of handrail you need?
Steve,
I think Ian knows that you can place a handrailing that follows the stair. What I think he means is a particular type of handrailing that is commonly used in the residential design. Something like the image shown below.
I remember seeing the baluster type in AECOsim Building Designer, now on which Dataset it was I can't remember.
I will try to find it and will post it.
I think I have found it, they are in the US Dataset and are called Decorative Balusters.
Is this what you are/were looking for Ian?

Thank you Nasir . That is exactly what I am looking for. Now can Bentley add this to the UK dataset for future releases.
