On Behalf of user:
Why do annotations that are created in the drawing view through the Rule keep coming back even after I right click on individual annotations to "Hide Annotation"?
Gotcha... In that case, there are several methods available for selectively choosing specific elements for drawing rule processing, outside of the default DataGroup Type or Part+Family. They range from a simple Selection Set to using predefined SelectBy Criteria Sets or Saved EC Queries.
This would be a good item to add to a DV FAQ...
sometime you need this annotation ,but you want to hide some of them, like the annotation on small pipes you want to hide them
The first is simply stating to use the Hide Annotation wherever that annotation is displayed. You could of course turn off any rules that are generating that annotation in the first place rather than generating annotation only to hide them after the fact.
I have the same problem .
I dont understand the first solution and the other soultion is not prcatical assumed that i want to add another information like invert level shall i get back dynamic then hide the annotaion then make it catched , it is not practical solution !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You would need to right click "Hide Annotation" on every file, whether it is only the drawing model or any other reference files that the drawing model is attached to in order for the hidden annotations to remain that way.
Another option would be to create the drawing view model, right click "Hide Annotation" on any that you do not want to see and then cache the Visible Edges from "Dynamic" to "Cached" to keep the file that way.
