  • Could be something as easy as scale.  When I make patterns I have a typical element that I work with a 1' cube that I see elevation, rendered iso and section.  This way I can check that it will work

  • Play with your pattern scale.  I think that may be it.

  • No I select wall componenet as family and concrete as part before .

Guys I changed the parts files to the original files nothing change this drive me crazy ,, any help "very important "

  • SOmthing stranged happened while  Iam trying on Nasir file the pattern appeared in the secion but still is not in other new files

  • Most likely what occurred with Nasir file is when he opened file, it found missing concrete pattern.

When a pattern is used in part/family, it is copied into file as a shared cell and stored

along with other elements. Therefore when you open his file the pattern is found.

But your other files cannot find it. This definitely suggests it can't find pattern

when files are opened on your laptop.

When I opened your original file on my computer, pattern showed fine.

I located "concrt" pattern in a file called archpa.cel.

Make sure this file is in folder locations pointed to by configuration variable MS_CELL.

  • Tdanner001, in my file I actually created a new Form and assigned Part/Family to it.
When I opened dweib's file I could not see the pattern for concrete either as dweib did not assigned the Part/Family properly, the pattern is not missing.

I have attached a video how to assign Part/Family to the Linear Free Form.

  • Nasir,

I see in your video that concrete part is not in your workspace.

If assigned part is missing this would definitely keep pattern from showing.

Using dweib's earlier dataset image, it indicated that part/family assigned to form does exist in his workspace.

In Bentley's Delivered workspace for US and in my workspace the part;/family assigned in file also does exist.

Have you modified workspace to remove wall component:concrete?

Or maybe delivered regional dataset you are using doesn't contain this part.

Nice video by the way. What are you using?
