2-click tools

Question

Hey all, 
 I have recently started using Bentley products (namely ABD) and have come from the Autodesk camp. 
 I am finding the 2-click nature of ABD rather frustrating. Sometimes click and hold - release works as I am used to. Sometimes the tools stays active as ABD is waiting for a second click. 
 Is there any way of turning off one or the other behaviour?

@Stewart, For me its not about the pain of holding down a button or not, its about consistency. I use many tools, some require click and hold, some require 2 clicks.... The confusing thing is a tools that supports both at the same time. 
 It reminds me of when mouseup states became important, and clicking changed entirely as it was the up state that signaled that activation of a tool, not the initial click and I found myself missing clicks... Its like retraining... 
 @ fostertom , I'm not so concerned about which tool is active after using a tool. Though thanks for the heads up. I have changed configuration with a right click to be reset to pointer... Very Useful 
 So there is no answer to my question, it is how the UI works.
