Plumbing Catalog Data - Add Field

Hi,

I already created catalogs for a local manufacturer from Brasil for plumbing(reducers caps, tubes...), but now I need to include additional data to itens.

For example, whem an elbow is inserted, I need that the hours of  the worker to be informed, as well as other itens like rubber ring, glue...

Where I can find any literature about adding this information?

  • Hi,

Just added a new definition file, added a line per field at the xml and a column per field at the mdb. it works fine!

  • Hi,

I was wrong, it do not work as I tried at first.

The XSD is OK, with the Properties defined, the XML pointing the fields and the MDB with the columns, but it do not work.

    Regards,

  • I did this in SELECTseries 6 Update 1 (the latest version). I apologize about the recording as my screen recording software doesn't seem to want to show the cursor moving around, I added some arrows and highlighting to try and compensate.

  • Hi Paul,

Unfortunately I can't see the video, but I followed the sound and I don't think I made my self clear with what I want. I have a database (.mdb) with pipes and fitting info (my own manufacturers catalog), and I have a few columns that don't match any of the properties in the delivered properties.xsd or the different CustomParamBMP....xsd. Now, I would like to be able to create a new property (just like you show in the video), and link it to these new columns in my database (.mdb). I would like this info to be populated automatically when I choose the fitting from the manufacturers catalog, or even to be able to use it to filter through this new manufacturers catalog.

Is this possible? I've been trying but whenever I map a database column to a property other than the already delivered xsd files, I can't access the manufacturers catalog from the placement menu in ABD.
  • Sorry the video won't play. I tried posting it several times.

I've tried to get new .mdb properties linked to new DataGroup properties and am not able to do it.

I think it has to do with a inherent schema for the mechanical discipline.

I'll try and find out from some of our more technical colleagues and development team.

  • Ok, thanks. It's strange if this is not possible. It seems like a very simple and reasonable feature for the Plumbing and HVAC systems.
