Is there any documentation or can anyone provide information about the Positioner Snap Preferences found in the Edit Component Dialog? In the same vein, How about information on "Add Remove World Normal Angle" and "Supress Plane-Plane on First Edge" settings (right click in the Edit Component Dialog).
Good questions! Unfortunately I don't have any definitive answers since I don't think I've ever had a need to use these particular settings before.
For the PosGeom prefs, since a Positioner consists of a point and a line these options appear to control how those two elements are handled. For example, the Vertex Coincidence controls whether the PosGeom will snap to Vertices, Midpoints or both, while Edge and Face snaps control how the point+line combination will be oriented.
The World Normal Angle and Plane-Plane are little more vague for me. I found this in the Reference Guide in regards to World coordinates:
Horizontal Mode
This option will toggle the Horizontal dimension mode. It only applies to Line and Direction PosGeoms, and this option is disabled if the selected PosGeom is a Vertex. When activated, the Horizontal Mode will add a Horizontal dimension (relative to the World Vertical).
I'm hoping that others will be able to provide some additional information on how they've used these settings.

Steve, Thanks for the quick reply. I'm hoping someone can weigh in on the Advance section of the Positioner Snap Preferences and "Add Remove World Normal Angle" and "Suppress Plane-Plane on First Edge" settings of the Edit Component Dialog. For now, I'm going to leave this post as un-answered to see if someone else can weigh in.
You're welcome. Hopefully others will have used these in practice!
