      Steve Cocchi
Hi Michael... I think that was just an idea to see if it worked, since the other variables use a similar naming convention. Whether the code existed to actually use that variable was a different story, but obviously it does not. I guess it seemed like…

DGammie: Does the space tool work when installed straight out of the box, with no network redirects etc... ? That is probably the best bet. If something is not working out of the box - that normally would - it may indicate…

Not that I've ever tried this myself - being in support I don't have the need - but I'd imagine you could create the required folders at the project level, then add those paths to the applicable DG_ config variables so these new files are found. As long…

Joaquin: There is a DGNLIB that stores the default settings for a Building View. The location/name of this is controlled by the configuration variable MS_VIEWSEEDFILE. By default the seed views in ustation.dgnlib are used. Depending on which View Type…

No sorry, i don't know. no Knowledge in program. I have just make a config from V82004 to V8I and make some basics macro. i am just a little Draftsman who have pb to work in 3D because somethings (i expose that in a message before) that work in triforma…

Hmm... I would try moving those XML files up to the TFDIR_DATA folder as a first step. I don't know if the stair tool is hard-coded to look in that specific folder, but it would make sense that's where all section XML files are intended to be stored.…

I haven't done this type of thing in a looong time, but what Shawn describes sounds about right. When starting the Catalog Editor outside of MicroStation, you are by default prompted to select a project, since that defines which set of data to load.

I'll also add little tidbits as I find them, in hopes they may help shed more light on the overall scheme... "Datasets" and "Project" installation components: The "Datasets" portion refers to the content installed under workspace…

Hmmm.... I don't believe I've ever come across a configuration solely based on UCF files. So I'm not completely sure what would happen or is to be expected! I'm not sure if this would help any under the current conditions, but, you could try using…

Hmmm... seems OK to me. TF_DATASETNAME is defined at the project level, and TF_DATASETS at the application level. So technically TF_DATASETS *is* defined before TF_DATASETNAME. For example, ArchProjectTemplateNcsUS.pcf will define the dataset name since…

The error messages are stating that those three DataGroup variables all have duplicate paths defined. Where those duplicate paths are defined, is the question... Are you starting Architecture with the existing shortcut you had before installing BBMS?…

Hi Steve, Yes Catalog editor prompts to let us choose the projects. It means the pcf's are being read. But somewhere the DG_PATH is limited to point to the location defined by triforma.cfg (sorry I said tflocal. cfg earlier). When I validate the…

Another thing I just thought of... While in the Workspace Configuration dialog, change the sort order from Alphabetical to By Level. This will show you how variables are grouped at the System, Site, Application, Project and User level. And this will more…
