PAZ cell - Schedule values scaled by a 1000
Rob Lowe
Hi, I used the Aecosim base plate PAZ cell to create a stiffener plate, changed the part and family etc. and added an area and volume variable to it but when i schedule out of data group explorer the values for the area and volume are scaled by 1000…

Re: PAZ file giving me trouble
Rabindra Adhikari
Dear Steve, I am glad to hear from you. Actually I was expecting to hear from you. In the past when I setup the PAZ files, I don't remember if I had to point ATFDIR_CELL for parametric cells to work. Seems like I might have forgotten since its…

Re: Parametric Cells issue
Rabindra Adhikari
I tried everything suggested so far. But still no success. As I experimented with other PCS cells, they work even if we don't have any variable defined in the catalog editor. But with this problem paz file, it seems BA rejects the parametric changes.…

Door Swings
Mark Holloway
Does anyone know how I edit the 2D component (Drawing Symbol) of the doors. In the first instance I'd simply like to change the linestyle to a dash for the door and swing. I'd expected this could be acheived by changing one of the following family…

Re: PAZ file giving me trouble

Rabi... in the DG Catalog Editor, make sure you fill in the Parametric Name column with the exact property names you created in PCS. That should "connect" the PCS properties to the resulting parametric cell placed in the DGN file.

Re: PCS doors - How do you change the line style of the hinge/swing indicator?
Steve Cocchi
Exactly. Attach a part & family attribute to the applicable 2D symbol(s) within PCS. That way they'll inherit those attributes when placed in Architecture. Assuming the same families and parts are available, of course. :)

Hmmm.... One more thing. Try setting default catalog values to match those in PCS.

Re: Connecting PAZ files with Bentley Architecture

Rabi: check the documentation in Bentley Architecture and look for "Establish Datagroup Systms Catalogs - Tutorial" Basically, you need to know what Catalog Type your PAZ file is (door, window, or a custom made one), and add a Catalog…

Yes, I'd add *everything* in before doing anything else. If that doesn't work, then more investigation would be needed.
