Hello all, I'm having an issue in a project where the hatch pattern isn't always in a predictable direction. I tried replicating in a test file and I think I found where it is going wrong. I always use a number of nested design models. Usually one…

I am trying to use drawing extraction to create sections through a model (this has a number of references in also), this works well until i try to add the hidden lines into the forward view, and then it crashes whilst processing every attempt. Any Ideas…

Hi i have a pb when i extract. i'am going to migrate from V8 2004 + TRIFORMA to 8I + Arhitecture. My pb is that the DEM don't calculate me some cells and i don't know why. I attach a file with some cells and a drawing def. This cells are calculated…

In the Drawing Rules Manager dialog you're showing the level for the Edge graphic type. What is Centerline set to? Also, what happens if you calculate the same extraction without any drawing rules?

I am having a similar issue with "Place Compound Cell" where the 3d portion does not place in the file. The perforator will cut a hole in the form but the 3D is not there. After posting this, I back-checked work of a teammate and noticed 'Compound…

Matt, Both the "Plan Only" and "2D/3D" work modes (which are essentially the same) no longer exist in Bentley Architecture V8i. This is why the "Update Master Model" option, the key to these modes, is no longer present in the Drawing Extraction…

And just so you're aware... In the main DEM dialog, right next to the "Move Cut Plane" icon, is the "Sync Drawing Def" icon which will generate a DV based on the currently selected DEM definition. It's a nice way to make the transition, or just play with…

Is 1/8"=1'-0" the proper drawing scale for your extraction? That ratio will increase the text by a factor of 96.

The only workaround I can think of would be to reference the extraction models into a separate DGN file and perform the clipping there. That way you can recalculate as needed.
