OpenBuildings Folder Structure

Question

Hi All 
 Can someone please explain the folder structure for OpenBuildings please; we use / used Hevacomp so will be using OpenBuildings for energy simulation primarily. 
 The structure seems to a simple mechancial engineer complex. How do you use it ? Where are you supposed to create the folders initially ? 
 Any help gratefully received.

Hi Graham, 
 Hope you are well. Simply put, I would consider the structure as consisting of these three parts: 
 
 Workset - the project folder. A Workset should be created for each project, similar to how you would have created a new project in Hevacomp. The Workset contains all the project material data, weather data, schedules data, and so on, and all the project results. 
 Workspace - a collection of Worksets 
 DGN - the 3D model. This should reside in the Workset. Just leave the location as default.

 Should you wish to save Worksets/Workspaces in custom locations, eg a shared server, you can do so as shown here.
