How do I create an external door with glazing as you could do in Hevacomp ? Have read through various files on here but can't find an answer ...... am I missing something ?
Hi Graham,
Sorry for the slight delay, only seen this now. This is something I actually logged an enhancement request for - so that the workflow is made more akin to that you mention from Hevacomp. At the moment, the glazed area needs to be entered as a normal window.

Morning Shane
Thanks for getting back to me. How does this effect the Part L calculations ? If the door is entered as a window ? Any idea how long it will be before this is updated ?
Cheers
Good question - this is one thing to watch out for. The key is that if the door is over 50% glazed then to enter it as a window. (This was also always the case in Hevacomp - it just did it in the background for you).
This aligns with the SBEM, please see below from the iSBEM manual:
"When doors have more than 50% glazing, then the light/solar gain characteristics must be included in the calculation. This is achieved by defining these doors as windows."
