We are looking to do this on a new project we have. I am no expert in Revit but our revit guy exported various versions of XML files and none of them imported satisfactorily to enable me to use the model to start working on it.

Can you let me have a step by step description on how the XML file needs to be created for the best results on the import.

Happy to arrange another teams meeting to discuss the process with my Revit guy if that works better.

Hi Oleg,

Interoperability is one of the strong points of Energy Simulator - you can import floor plans of several formats to trace your model, directly import Hevacomp Design Database models, import architectural models from OpenBuildings Designer using the Analytical Space Model function, and in this particular instance, as Paul refers to, we would suggest importing via gbXML as below:

Export the model as a .gbXML file and import in Energy Simulator.
