Are there any plans for more indepth learning tools to assist Hevacomp users for the transition from DDB to OpenBuildings ? All of the videos, etc seems to offer a light overview.
Cheers
Hi Graham,
The PDF downloads for QuickStart courses ES101 and ES102 would be the most thorough training resources, along with the PartL QuickStart, ES201. For example the PDF for ES101 can be found as below:
For more specific technical guidance on functions and tools within the software the complete manuals are also available (see here) as below:
You can use the search option in the top right or the Index on the left to navigate to the topic you are looking for.

Hi Shane
I was thinking of something more indepth and focused other than web pages. I understand COVID is an issue but are there any plans for face-2-face teaching ?
Cheers Graham
Hi Graham, just to follow up on the above - as classroom-based courses are very difficult to plan in the current situation (eg I cannot even leave the country at the moment) I have requested that one of our UK based channel partners who is an expert in the software get in touch with you, as he may have more flexibility in this regard.
Afternoon Shane
Yes Paul has been in touch thank you and I'll follow it up. I fully understand the difficult situation we all find ourselves in so thank you for your help.
I hope you're well, just reaching out in relation to this query from a while back to let you know that an additional training course book for dynamic simulation has since been made available. You can find further details at:Dynamic Simulation and HVAC QuickStart course - now available - Energy Simulation Forum - OpenBuildings | AECOsim | Speedikon - Bentley Communities
Thanks Shane that's really excellent, sorry to bang on at this but for us old guys used to Hevacomp it's a big move to the new and there seemed to be little explanation. This should help greatly.
Hi Graham, no worries at all. Thanks for raising this, such feedback helps us identify any gaps in the training material, and with the addition of the above course I believe all aspects of the software should now be covered. However of course should you need a hand with any other workflows, or have any other questions/issues, just let us know and we'd be happy to help.
