Hi,

it's recommended to follow the best practices and to specify used product and its exact version. It can be deduced from the shared screen capture, but it's not obvious for everybody.

Because it looks like you use AECOsim Building Designer, I am not sure why you ask in Energy Simulation Forum. I think it would be better to move your question to OpenBuildings forum. To move existing discussion to another forum, use More > Move tool, available under your original post.

It's not clear what do you mean by "live render".

The fastest rendering in MicroStation is to use some from display style, when views are rendered automatically.

If you want to use Luxology rendering to achieve higher quality (but it never can be "live"), I am not sure whether automatic synchronization between DGN model and Luxology render was supported in V8i generation.

In the current MicroStation (so I guess also in the current OpenBuilding Designer), where VUE replaces Luxology, Fast Preview can be used. In this mode, any changes in the model are reflected (with small delay) in VUE render.
