Hi All
Anyone actually understand how the creation of workspaces and worksets happens ? I've watched all the videos, read all the stuff on here and still I can't get projects set up where I want - I'm working in "Building Examples" not a dedicated folder set of my choice.
I get a workspace created but trying to get a workset created with all the sub folders and based on the UK template doesn't seem possible unless I use the "Building Examples" as my workspace - which I don't want. Frankly I'm getting brassed off with it.
Anyone get any ideas ? I'll try anything, anything especially on a Friday ............
Cheers
Graham
Hi Graham,
I suspect the templates are stored within that "Building Examples" workspace on your C drive, so the new location on the server cannot see these. Our OpenBuildings team can certainly assist with configurating this for you, however I should mention for now you can actually go ahead and just create the new Workset without the Template - it should then work fine.

Hi Shane
I've tried copying the templates over but that doesn't work. Also I've tried creating a project without a template but not all the sub folders are created ...... I'm getting really frustrated.
Also forgot to mention I can'[t point the root folder to anywhere else as they are greyed out
In addition to copying over there are one or two config files that would need to be pointed to the right location - I will log a Service Request now for you so the OpenBuildings config guys here can take care of this.
I know what you mean about the additional subfolders - but that is perfectly fine. When a Workset is created with no template (ie as here) it will create the Design, Output and Standards subfolders as below, which are all you need.
