Hi there,
can someone help me to know if it is possible to do solar panel study (Photovoltaic Analysis) on OpenBuilding energy simulator?
Or if it is possible to import Revit or STAAD pro file to openbuilding and proceed with energy analysis?
warm regards,
Hi Ibrahim,
For the photovoltaic analysis could you maybe clarify what results exactly would you be looking for? For example PV's and Solar Panels are available in the PartL calculation, but not sure if this is what you are looking for.
Regarding importing - yes models can be imported via the Analytical space model function, or via GBXML.

Hi Shane
Can I apply solar panel through PartL on different areas and be able to get the energy production and energy consumption on certain areas? and will the final result of PartL Calculation be included in the energy simulator result?
The data in the Part L menus is solely for the Part L calculation, if you want to produce the Energy Performance Certificate for the building, for example.
From what you say I am guessing you are more looking for simulations such as the Plant Energy and CO2 results as shown below?
