Hi everyone
I don't know if its my windows installation, because when installing the software I reach the point to select a drive for installation or to select the network installation I get a window with only the desktop location
Is there a workaround for this issue?
Regards
James
Hi James,
So to clarify - you are attempting to install on a server, but it appears to install locally instead?
If you could please reply with a screenshot of the screen you are seeing I should be able to assist you with this?
Many thanks,
Shane

many thanks for your reaction
I am not installing the software on the server.
Ican not browse to where I can put my custom configuration
Thanks James,
You can find guidance in relation to this in the following article - if you follow the section regarding custom configuration this should help walk you through the steps.Installing OpenBuildings Designer - OpenBuildings | AECOsim | Speedikon Wiki - OpenBuildings | AECOsim | Speedikon - Bentley Communities
Any folder can be selected for a custom installation - the only thing you need to ensure is that you have full read-write access to that folder location. Your IT should be able provide you with the required permissions should you not have them.
Hope that helps.

Thanks Shane
I can enter the path for my network locstion manually,
but when I try to use the tree button to browse I get the image I showed.
Thanks
That would most likely be due to your Windows permissions, preventing the software seeing the other locations. You would need your IT to ensure you have full permissions, or you could test by running the install/update as Full admin and see if it persists. Entering the path directly should be perfectly fine to do in the meantime as a workaround.
