Hello Brian,

Yes, try uncomment that line as _ustn_out is already defined in the workset_xx.cfg files. No need to define the same variable twice.

Hi Alifur,

Oh i get it. i am wrong to opening 'Configuration Variable dialog' while loading the 2370-25*.dgn file. the output are now saved to the project output folder now. thanks a lot.

However I just checked the .cfg files of another training and the output is also directed to ES_Quickstart (refer to the below). I wonder should i amend it eveyrtime i start a new project. and is it because i start a new project which use ES_quickstart as the template.

Hello Brian,

Yes, but as you are not able to see the configuration variable in configuration variables dialog hence you have to make the change in 2370-25*.cfg file.

as it it still pointing to output folder in ES-Quickstart.

Please open you @2370-25*.cfg file & check the _USTN_OUT variable.

_USTN_OUT = $(_USTN_WORKSETROOT)Output/

It should be pointing like this.

If you are still unable to get to understand, then please raise an SR, we would need to conduct a meeting.

It points toward my project folder now @2370-25'. but i just checked that _USTN_OUT, ES_DIR_RESULTS, ES_DIR_RESULTS_STEADYSTATE are still pointing to another project folder 'ES-QUICKSTART'.

Hello Brian,

Yes you can definitely do so, but this needs to be configured properly. Please add this configuration variable in your workset.cfg file.

_USTN_DISPLAYALLCFGVARS = 1

After that Open ES and then search for _USTN_WORKSETROOT and check where it is pointing towards.

Here you go. It seems all theses are pointed towards a subfolder in EQ_QUICKSTART rather than the output folder in each individual project. Can i Set it as i wish.? Thanks

Hello Brian.

Can you please go to Configuration Variable dialog & search for _USTN_OUT, ES_DIR_RESULTS, ES_DIR_RESULTS_STEADYSTATE and let me know the locations where it is pointing.

Ideally _USTN_OUT should be pointing towards your Workset\Output and the other configuration variable should point with _USTN_OUT.

Hi Sayan,

I am using OpenBuildings Designer Connect Edition Update 10 Version 10.10.00.199.

I run the calculation of Project- 2370-25 and the output file didnt appear in this project folder (refer Figure A). On the other hand, after i searched around, the files are saved at the other folder (Figure B). kindly tell if more screenshoot could help or the its not clear.
