Hi,
May i know how to change the power density of display lighting ? i am running the calculation of Scottish Building Regulation 2022 in PartL 2021.
Thanks.
Regards,
Brian
Hi Brian,
A lot of the properties for display lighting are taken automatically by SBEM from the room activity types - as far as I can see the only two settings you can specifically alter to impact it are those as outlined in the iSBEM manual as below.
The other way would be to choose a different room type that does not use display lighting.
Other than that, I had a detailed look through the NCM modelling guide but could not find any specific modelling guidance on reducing the display lighting results - please note you can find the guide here if needed.
For results and design queries like this we are somewhat restricted as we do not create the SBEM calculation method itself - but I would recommend that you consult your scheme provider on this as they would be best place to provide further design advice, or else BRE themselves will be able to let you know with parameters affect this part of their SBEM calc - you can reach them here.
Hope that helps steer you in the right direction, if you need anything else let us know.
