Problem

 There is no override of reference file elements for drawing views.

Solution

If you open the Reference dialog box while in the drawing view, you can select Settings > Adjust Color and choose an override color for the whole reference file to display.

You can also right-click on a DV element, choose Reference Presentation, and use the Reference's View Attributes dialog for another level of control.
