    Remove 'Orphaned' Floor Manager Elements

    Product(s): OpenBuildings Designer
    Version(s): V8i
    Area: Floor Management
    Subarea: N\A

This note is aimed at CAD/BIM Administrators only.

Occasionally you may find 'orphaned' floors in a BB_Floormaster.dgnlib. They are visible if BB_Floormaster.dgnlib is opened directly but do not show up in Floor Manager and cannot be deleted by any of the usual methods.

This may occur in BB_Floormaster.dgnlib files migrated from earlier versions of OpenBuildings Designer or AECOsim Building Designer.

In the we added a hidden key-in to AECOsim Building Designer SS5 that will delete all unassociated graphics from BB_FloorMaster.dgnlib when the Floor Manager dialog is open.
Where ProjectWise is in use, it will checkin/out the dgnlib as well:

    1. In SS5 open the BB_Floormaster.dgnlib
    2. Open Floor Manager (this has to running for the elements in the BB_FloorMaster.dgnlib to be accessible to the command).
    3. Enter hidden command bb floor cleanup
    4. Close BB_Floormaster.dgnlib

To avoid levels, line styles and other library elements being copied in to BB_Floormaster.dgnlib during this operation open the file using an administrator UCF containing the line BB_DVDATASETELEMENTS=0 as described in Managing dgnlib files.
