Did you know that you can reuse existing cached Drawing Views as standalone files to represent specific milestones during your projects?
Steps to Accomplish
From the Save As DGN file's Options dialog, check the "Merge Visible Edges of 3D Attachments" option in the References tab and from the Filter tab > Models dialog select *only* the cached Drawing Model. The end result should be a single model 2D file with simple linear geometry and text.
