Out of the box the Label Coordinate tool creates annotation that may not match your company or project standards. These can be changed using the Annotation Tool Settings dialog.
Building Design ribbon > Drawing Production tab > Place Annotation group > click the dialog launcher icon at the bottom right:
In the Annotate Tool Settings dialog expand the Annotation Ref Symbol tree and go down to Label Coordinate:
Steps (setting locations indicated by red numbers, results by orange):
The arrows terminating the label's leader line are stored in their own cell library specified by configuration variable TFANNOTATION_LABELCOORDTERM_LIBFILE. For example in Dataset NM the file is:
C:\ProgramData\Bentley\OpenBuildings CONNECT Edition\Configuration\Datasets\Dataset_NM\Cell\LabelCoordinateTerminator.cel
The cells in this library can be altered as needed. Ensure that all lines used in the terminators are drawn with level = 0. If a heavier weight is applied it will also be used by the leader line. A heavier weight can be applied in step 2. The best practice is to alter the existing graphics, changing only the elements that will be visible. Leave any other elements as found.
The terminator has ben left as it's default 'Arrow-Open', the cell has been amended to produce a wider arrow.
In the Annotation Tool Settings dialog change the terminator line weight as required, weight '3' for instance. The Leader Line can be left set to "<useCell>", allowing weight 0 to propagate from the cell.
The label font must be set here, select from the available fonts listed when "<useCell>" is clicked, Arial has been chosen in this example. The tool automatically narrows font when placed.
Note that at the time of writing the '<useActive>' setting results in the 'Standard' font being used, so always select an appropriate TrueType font. Defect 142260 has been filed regarding this.
Unit can be left at Working or set to a selected unit such as M or mm.
The number of decimal places displayed can be set as appropriate to the selected unit and.
These changes are stored by default in the active project's \support\dataset\settingAnnotationCellScaleOverrides.rsc file (controlled by the TFANNOTATION_OVERRIDES variable).
If nothing happens when using the new "Label Coordinate" tool then it may be the case that the terminator cell is not defined correctly.
Open the Annotation Tool Settings dialog, check that the terminator cell is valid, it must be from a LabelCoordinateTerminator.cel file.
The tool will then work.
