I would like to be able to create a dynamic Clip Volume that that isn't associated with a Callout or Marker. This would be used more as a "working" Clip Volume that would constantly be adjusted to the area where one is working. Also, this type of Clip Volume would also be temporary so after it is no longer required would be deleted.
Steps to Accomplish
You can use the Place Fitted Section tool from the Apply or Modify Clip Volume tool for this purpose.
This option still allows an AECOsim Building Designer Drawing Seed to be selected for resymbolization:
And also generates a promoted Clip Volume that can be turned on and off from View Attributes:
In addition, the clip element itself is Construction Class so it can also be turned on and off independent of the Clip Volume's display; e.g., visible when you need to adjust the Clip Volume handles, but otherwise turned off.
Once you're finished with it that Construction Class element can simply be deleted.
For simpler clipping tasks you can also use one of the 2D clipping tools:
