For some reason I can't seem to change the length of certain Structural beams in my DGN file when using the Modify Member End tool, while others in the same file work as expected.
Is it likely that these beams were placed using a section name from a file (XML or MDB) that is no longer loaded by the current project/dataset. You can check this by: 1. Right-click on one of these beams and choose the Modify Structural Attributes tool.2. Enable the Section box and then click the magnifying glass icon to the right of the Name: field to open the Structural Sections dialog.3. Browse through the currently available structural sections by Code and Type. 4. If you see the section name used by the active beam, select it here and accept in order to reapply that section name to the beam in the event that there is a upper/lower case difference, or similar. 5. If you cannot find the section used by that specific beam in the list, then select the section name closest to the one used by the active beam and apply those changes.
Once complete, try modifying the beam length again using the Modify Member End tool. If this now works as expected you will need to investigate which section file(s) contains the missing section names used by those specific beams and ensure it is being loaded with the current project/dataset:1. Choose Workspace > Configuration.2. Scroll down the list of variable names on the right to STRUCTURAL_SHAPES.3. Click the Edit button. 4. Within the Edit Configuration Variable dialog, enter the required section file name(s) using a semi-colon as a separator: e.g., $(PROJ_DATASET)data\ProjectShapes.xml;UK.xml;German.xml.
