    Cannot open HVAC manager

      Product(s): OpenBuildings Energy Simulator
      Version(s):  v08.11.09.33
      Environment: N/A
      Area: Data Managers
      Subarea: HVAC Manager

    Overview

This issue is caused by removing all of the HVAC systems from a project using the HVAC Manager. Once this is done, you will not be able to access the HVAC Manager again.

    Method

    • Create a new project

    • Using Windows Explorer, go to the new project folder and then into the Hvac folder. there should be 3 files in here:

UserHvac - Steadystate heat gain and loss.XML
      UserHvacHeader.xml
      UserHvacindex.xml

    • Copy these files into the corresponding HVAC folder in your existing project folder.

    • You should now be able to open the existing project and access the HVAC manager.
