Where is the best place to set up floors for my project?

    (23229 False)

    Applies To
    Product(s): AECOsim Building Designer
    Version(s): 08.11.09.747
    Environment: N\A
    Area: Floors
    Subarea: N\A
Original Author: Kevin Coleman, Bentley Technical Support Group

    Problem

What is the best practice or approach when setting up floors within Floor Manager and the column grid system?

    Solution

For buildings, floors, and reference planes:
From the Building Designer pull-down menu choose Floor Manager. Using this dialog, changes will be made as a background process to the floormaster.dgnlib file. This process will make them available to any DGN file within the project.

    For grids:
First, open the Grid Systems dialog. Here, the definitions are accessible to any file within the project, such as Floors, but the Grid Models themselves are generated within each applicable DGN file as needed
