Symbol's fill does not display correctly in Drawing View

Problem Description

Using AECOsim Building Designer Ss4, I've placed custom electrical components in three different DGN files that all include a fill in the 3D Model that also displays in the associated Drawing Model. When I apply the Saved View to the 3D Model the fill also displays, but I've found that I have to set the Forward View display style to Wireframe in order for the fill to print.  But when I print from the resulting Drawing Model I get varying results depending on the combination of settings used:

File 1: The electrical components in this file are Compound Cells, but their fill will only print when the Rasterize option is enabled in the Print dialog. However, we cannot use this option so need a workaround.
File 2: The electrical components in this file are also Compound Cells, but their fill only will print when the Rasterize option is enabled or when the Cut Plane and Forward View display styles for the Drawing are both set to Wireframe (instead of just the Forward View display style as in the 3D Model).
File 3: The electrical components in this file are normal Cells, but their fill will only print when the Rasterize option is enabled or when the Cut Plane and Forward View display styles for the Drawing are both set to Wireframe.

Steps to Resolve

There are actually multiple aspects coming into play in this situation.

For File 1, the Drawing's active display style is set to an Illustration mode which is why Rasterize is required in order for the fill to print. By right-clicking on any element and choosing Set Reference Presentation, and then changing the active display style to "From Parent" (the default for Dynamic Views), this Drawing also will print the electrical components' fill when setting the Cut Plane and Forward View display styles to Wireframe.

For both file 1 and file 2, the need to change the Cut Plane and Forward View display styles to Wireframe is only a factor in AECOsim Building Designer Ss5.  When using AECOsim Building Designer Ss6 the electrical components' fill will print correctly without needing to change the Drawing's display styles or enabling the Rasterise option. If upgrading is not an option due to project constraints, we would suggest opening these files in Ss6 only for the purposes of printing them.

For file 3, because the electrical components' are normal cells and therefore do not include a 2D symbol, the Drawing can only display the 3D elements themselves through the Reference attachment.  And because Drawing Views include a Clip Volume, the Cut Plane and Forward View display styles must both be changed to Wireframe in order for the fill to print, even when using Ss6.  Doing this also allows the fill to display correctly when the Drawing is cached.
