    Integrate a foreign company standard

      Product(s): Bentley speedikon Architectural
      Version(s): 08.11.12.25
      Environment: Windows Vista,Windows 7,Windows 8,Windows 10
      Area: Configuration
      Subarea: Workspace

How can I integrate a foreign company standard in my system?

    Background

You have an order from Company A and your client gave you his speedikon standard. You have received it and now it only has to be included in your existing speedikon installation.

    Steps to Accomplish

Option 1 - You do not have your own standard and do not need to use the one of another company. You just want to use this one as a single for the future work.

    1. Have a look in the speedi.ini, to be find under  …\system\bin, in which directory your Standard is installed IEZstd = ....

    2. Copy the company standard in this directory so that the folder structure now looks like this:

      …\Standard\std\main\cel, tbl, vdf,…

        For example:

Option 2 - You already use your own standard or work for several companies that provide their company standards.

    1. If you do not always want to rename the main directory, or when different employees need access to different company standards at once, it's best to use the speedikon user management.

    2. Copy the new company standard in the same folder hierarchy like the main folder:

    3. Now the user management must be enabled and the new company standard must be integrated.

      Notice:

If the viewfilters are not shown in speedikon anyway, please check if there is already a user.ini with an IEZstd entry in the Standard directory!
