Problem

I have a model in AECOsim Building Designer, how can I transfer this to speedikon?

Solution

You can’t transfer an AECOsim Model to a speedikon Model if you want to work with it in speedikon.

Workarounds

SDNF

If you use speedikon Industrial you can import the steel items with SDNF. But all other items need to be redrawn.

Reference

You can use the dgn format as a reference to redraw your model in speedikon.

IFC

MicroStation V8i (SELECTseries 3) supports referencing files in IFC format. This allows users who work with MicroStation or applications (e.g. speedikon), the display of data from other people involved in the planning. A transfer of this data into the own data structure with the purpose to edit it didn't stand the test, because of different functionality of the used programs and the resulting potential for loss of information.
