"License information for this component not found"

Problem

After installing AECOsim Building Designer, an error message display when trying to open a file - Microsoft Visual Basic - "License information for this component not found. You do not have an appropriate license to use the functionality in the design environment."

Solution

1. Uninstall AECOsim Building Designer.

2. The user account control must be set to "Never" and you also must have administrator rights to install the program.

3. If Office 365 is installed, it must be the locally installed version on the machine and not the cloud based version.

4. Try a repair install of Microsoft Office (assuming it is already installed), this might fix VBA.

5. Be sure to have the latest Windows Upodates installed which will include the necessary and latest versions of vba files.
