It is recommended that default symbol library (80) ANSI be copied and modified in oder to create a new library, instead of creating a new library from scratch.
Copying an existing library will preserve, group, library and tag designations for symbol groups. If a new library is created from scratch, those atributes would have to be manually assigned to each symbol group. Copying a default library will save the user substantial time compared to creating a new one.
Follow the  listed steps below to copy the default symbol library:

1. Open Symbol Manager

2. Go to Edit Structure

3. Symbol Library/Library dialog box opens. Select (80) ANSI Y32.9-1972
4. Go to Copy to clip board (1)
5. Go to Copy from clip board (2)

6. Paste keys dialog box opens up. Type in 100 for key number and select Copy keys and linked data
7. Copy of ANSI Y32.9-1972 is now added with key No 100.

In next step name will be changed to Custom Symbol library.
8. Select (100) ANSI Y32.9-1972 and go t Edit
9. Library Properties dialog box comes up. Change description to Custom Library and finish with OK.

Symbol Manager now has two Symbol libraries and second one will be further customized to meet specific corporate CAD standards..
11. Go back to Design file Setup to select  (100) Custom Library for our active library. Symbols will now be selected from (100) Custom Library.
