Bentley speedikon Architectural is a fast, powerful, and integrated (BIM) application for building design and construction documentation of new and existing structures of any size and complexity, such as offices, airports, hospitals, and manufacturing plants.
Task-oriented functionality supports all project phases, from building design to input of as-built data, from detailed construction documentation and quantity take-off with export to tender documentation applications to photo-realistic design visualization.
Available for MicroStation and AutoCAD as well as a stand-alone program for Windows with a virtually identical user interface, Bentley speedikon Architectural is based on the concept of a 3D building model (BIM) with intelligent construction elements, with an option to work in 2D or 3D. At the touch of a button, floor plans, sections, and elevations at different scales and different depth of detail can be generated using the unique speedikon display filter® technology. Supporting a multi-discipline project environment, Bentley speedikon Architectural also allows the creation of information for facility management.
Thanks to its open and modular structure, which is uncommon in the market, Bentley speedikon Architectural can be customized to suit the individual needs of users - either as a simple 2D workplace, as a powerfully functioning 3D instrument of an integrated architecture planning, or as an integrated part of the production process of prefabricated parts manufacturers and industrial companies.
In Bentley speedikon Architectural, all objects (walls, columns, beams, slabs, roofs, dormers, ceilings, doors, windows, stairs, ramps, components) are parametric, i.e. they can be created and manipulated by simply changing key dimensions. Complex objects, like doors, windows, components, roofs and stairs can include algorithmic rules that capture design intent.

Bentley speedikon Architectural includes unique view filter technology, a fully customizable functionality that controls not only level/layer and drawing symbology (color, line weight and style), but also the re-symbolization of 3D objects to 2D symbols. Therefore, from the same building information model, a variety of floor plans, sections, elevations, and details can be generated at different scale and depth of detail, such as design layouts, working drawings, details, orientation or escape route drawings, simply by changing view filters. Because all drawing originate from the same source, consistency and accuracy across all drawings is guaranteed.
Bentley speedikon Architectural is the only architectural application available for both MicroStation and AutoCAD, the most widely used CAD platforms in the world. With full compatibility across the DGN and DWG data formats, team members can use Bentley speedikon Architectural on either platform, but seamlessly work on the same project information, thus saving enormous time and avoiding errors typically associated with data exchange and translation.
