Using Manipulate Fence Contents in a Drawing Model

Problem Description

While in a Drawing Model, the Fence > Manipulate Fence Contents > Copy command does not seem to work. I would like to copy a portion of the Dynamic View drawing to the active model as 2D line work, similar to Fence File (FF=), but instead of saving the geometry to a separate DGN file the contents would be copied directly to the current Drawing Model.  Is this possible, or has this feature been removed?

Steps to Resolve

The reason that the Manipulate Fence Contents command does not work with a Dynamic View is that the Saved View's Clip Volume already controls the reference attachment's display. This is also why the Clip icon is greyed out in the Reference dialog and includes this tool tip.

The best alternative may be to first cache the Dynamic View, then use the Copy/Hide Cached Element command to bring those elements over into the Drawing Model.  See the following video for an example of this process.
