We often use the Legacy mode with our Drawing Views since caching the Dynamic View does not always seem to translate well to DWG. We would also like some way to recalculate or refresh mutliple Drawings, however, we cannot seem to find any good way to accomplish this when using Legacy mode.
Using Cached views is recommended since AECOsim Building Designer CONNECT Edition uses cached views as the default state and does include many fixes and improvements over V8i. In order to improve your DWG Save results from a Cached View please try saving as a separate DGN file first, and then saving that DGN file to DWG. You can use the specific settings defined in this Wiki article when performing the Save as DGN operation:https://communities.bentley.com/products/building/building_analysis___design/w/building_analysis_and_design__wiki/13539.reusing-a-cached-drawing-view-for-milestones
These settings may then be used in the Batch Convert utility to help automate the Save As DGN command:https://communities.bentley.com/products/microstation/w/microstation__wiki/8830.batch-convert-utility
By using Cached Views you can also take advantage of options available in V8i to sychnronize them as described in this Wiki: https://communities.bentley.com/products/building/building_analysis___design/w/building_analysis_and_design__wiki/7184.batch-update-of-cached-visible-edges-cve-in-aecosim-building-designer
