Problem

Is there a way to customize the 'Flyover Tool-tip' ?

Solution

If you follow the below mentioned steps, you will be able to easily modify the Flyover Tool-tip.

1. Once you open the file in which you want to modify the Flyover Tooltip, please go to 'Help' menu tab and then go to 'AECOsim Building Designer Help'. A new help window will open. Now go to 'Search' tab and search using key-word 'flyover'. And please read 'Customize Flyover Information'. using 'flyover item variable' you will be able to modify the tooltip flyover.
   
   
2. Now again, please go back to the AECOsim Building Designer. Go to 'Utilities' tab, and then go to 'Key-in'. A new window will pop-open. In the Key-in widow, please put 'atfflyover pref' (you can also find the key-in value in above mentioned help results). Again a new window named 'Customize Architectural Flyovers' will open. In that window, select the required type of element and you will be able to modify that in the window beside it. Please refer below picture. Please note that before editing the flyover tool-tip settings, the outcome is marked in blue colour in this picture.
   
   
3. Now modify the element type using the values you found in help window from the first step. And modify the element type as per you requirement. In the below screenshot I have marked the modified flyover tool-tip for Staircase in blue colour.
