Creating Drawings/Sheets in CONNECT Edition will automatically attach referenced Drawing Models as Cached Views.

This should improve the performance and fidelity within the drawing production workflow.

In CONNECT Edition, the Caching of Drawing/Sheet is now a multi-threaded process and the annotation of cached views is significantly faster than views set to Dynamic.

Cached Views come with several different synchronization methods (Automatic, Automatic with Alerts, Manual and Disconnected), the choice of method will depend upon your workflow. The cache synchronization has been improved in CONNECT Edition, to provide incremental updates changing only the deltas and not reprocessing the entire file. These tools are accessible form the Ribbon:

Cached views with automatic synchronizations provide the immediacy of Dynamic views, but with better performance and fidelity. Cached views are sometimes referred to as 'Cached Visible Edges' or 'CVE'.

The Ribbon also has tools to manually synchronize/reload cached references:

Click on the dialog box launcher at the lower right of the group to open reference presentation settings:

Also note the button that interactively toggles Unification in the active file.
