Background
While trying to install AECOsim CONNECT Edition, the installation is failing with error code 0x80070642. Installation is not completed.
Steps to Accomplish
This error code can be shown for many reason. To understand the proper reason you need to go the 'Error Log' file. Then you have to find from where the error starts. In the below attached screenshot you can find out that this is a problem due to a '.NET 4.5.2' .
You can resolve this issue by following the steps below.
- Go to Settings. Then go to Windows Update. Update your Windows by clicking on check for Check for update button. Please tick the check-box for online checking also.
- Go to Microsoft website and download and install '.NET 4.5.2'. Please select the appropriate version ( please check your operating system, and check windows architecture i.e. 32-bit or 64-bit machine ).
- Once installation is complete, please restart your machine.
You can then restart the installation process and it will be completed successfully.
