Floor Management - Set Grid and Floor Manager for a Workset

      Product(s): AECOsim Building Designer
      Version(s): CONNECT Edition, V8i
      Area:  Floor Management
      Subarea:  Grid & Floor Manager

    Background

Grids and Floors are essential aids to working with AECOsim's tools. Each WorkSet (like each project in V8i) must have its own Floor Manager DGNLIB, BB_FloorMaster.dgnlib. This DGNLIB cannot be shared across multiple WorkSets.

    Steps to Accomplish

When creating a new WorkSet either use an existing WorkSet as a template, picked from the Template menu in the Create WorkSet dialog, or if in a new WorkSpace where a Template WorkSpace is not available review the contents of the WorkSet.cfg that is created. It will contain the sample statements currently provided in "C:\ProgramData\Bentley\AECOsim CONNECT Edition\Configuration\WorkSpaces\Template\WorkSet.Template". These need to be replaced by the content of the appropriate regional WorkSet.cfg, e.g.: "C:\ProgramData\Bentley\AECOsim CONNECT Edition\Configuration\WorkSpaces\AECOsimExamples\Worksets\BuildingTemplate_UK.cfg".
