Problem
When I try to install AECOsim Building Designer CONNECT Edition Update 1 there is no Install option…only Repair, Modify, and Finish.
When I try to install the original AECOsim Building Designer CONNECT Edition release, it says that a newer version is already installed.
Finally, when I try to uninstall AECOsim Building Designer CONNECT Edition, it immediately goes to Finish (but does nothing).
Solution
Uninstall the failed installation from the Package Cache folder
- Set the User Access Control (UAC) to "Never Notify"
- This can be found in Control Panel - User Accounts - Change User Account Control settings
- Using File Explorer, navigate to the C:\ProgramData\Package Cache folder, right-click on AECOsimBuildingDesignerx64.msi file and select "Run As Administrator” or just Double-click AECOsimBuildingDesignerx64.msi to run the uninstaller.
The uninstall should complete and you should be able to install AECOsim Building Designer Update 1 version 10.01.00.36.
