I have a robust but older system. When I open any file, lines display everywhere all over my drawing (zingers). The problem first occurred when I was still using Windows 7 but has persisted into Windows 10. I completely uninstalled and reinstalled the program and upgraded to 32 GB of memory, but it didn't resolve the issue.
Open the Workspace Configuration dialog and set the variable QV_D3DVERSION = 9 or QV_D3DVERSION = 11. Exit and re-enter the file and the display should now be correct.
