    Problem

    How to make changes in the macro's to prepare Structural Report Spreadsheet to list Type ID instead of Mark ?

    Solution

    Below are the instructions that will allow you or the user to make these changes to any version of the spreadsheet.

    How to Edit the Structural Quantity Report Spreadsheet to get a DataGroup property

    Open the Structural Quantity Report Spreadsheet in Excel and follow the steps detailed in the figures below.

    Figure 1 - In the "tell me what you want to do" box in Excel, Search "View Macros" or press (Alt + F8)

    Figure 2 - In the Macro Form, select "beginReport" and press "Edit"

    Figure 3 - The "beginReport" method is in the quantus module

    Figure 4 - In the same module (quantus) select the "processStructuralMember" method

    Figure 5 - Edit the q.STFmark assignment

    Figure 6 - Use the "GetNamedPropertyValue" method to get the datagroup field

    e.g.

    q.STFmark = STRmem.GetMark

    becomes …

    Dim propValue As String STRmem.GetNamedPropertyValue "ObjectIdentity/@Mark", propValue q.STFmark = propValue
