Problem

How to apply display rule to grouped elements like wall, doors etc ?

Solution

By setting the display style override on and selecting the current display style(for exp: illustration), the rule can be applied to all the elements including doors, walls etc. Please take a look at the video workflow below:

Explanation: Color override works on single elements such as shapes. For grouped elements (as most of the elements are) we need to assign the display rule to a specific display style. Then we need to assign the same display style to the view. Grouped elements consist a combination of cells which have different color symbology applied to them by default. It's far more complicated to apply color override on grouped elements. Hence, applying display style override is much more feasible and that's how it has been made to work as design.
