      Version(s): CONNECT Edition
      Environment: N/A
      Area: Data Managers
      Subarea: Materials

    Overview

Buildings can on occasion incorporate specialized surface coatings into their external fabric surfaces, such as heat-reflective paint.

    Method

Modelling this may require manual editing of the thermal properties in Materials Manager. The relevant properties would be the Surface Emissivity and Absorption Coefficient.

To manually edit these, go to the relevant construction in Materials Manager, tick the option as below, and enter the required figures. These should be obtained from the product supplier.
