How to enable Position Mapping shortcuts with numbers? (Is there a way to make both the menus, and the tools within them, accessed by numbers?)

Solution

Following are the steps to accomplish the above mentioned result:

1. Go to File > Settings > User > Preferences
2. In the Category list click Position Mapping
3. Enable Use Position Mapping and Show Position Mapping Aids.
4. Go to Tasks & Ribbon: QWERTDFGZXCVB Change it to 1234567890, click OK. 
   
   
5. Then Go to Ribbon under Category. Search for Position-Mapped Groups: Group Popup.
   
   
6. Click on the drop-down arrow, change it to Menu, click OK. 
   
   
7. Wait for some time to get the changes applied and then you are good to go.
