    Problem

How do I apply Cut Plane hatch/patterning in Plan or Section drawings?

    Solution

Cut Plane hatch/patterns in Plan or Section drawings are displayed by setting specific parameters in the Family/Part Editor:

    Below image shows no hatch/pattern:

To display a Cut Plane hatch/pattern:

1.Open the Family/Part Editor and choose your desired Family/Part. We are using the part "Walls_Ext" in this example.

2.Change the Part View to Cut Patterns, check Pattern on, set Pattern Type to Patterning (or Linear/Cross Hatch if desired), and adjust the Pattern Angle, Pattern Distance, Pattern Cell, Cell Scale, and Cell Angle values as needed.

3.Click on the Commit Changes icon, then reopen the drawing to see the Cut Plane pattern now displayed.
