All of our drawings are automatically created as cached. When we attach one of those drawings to a 2D Design model using the Coincident orientation method the Visible Edges setting is defined as Child References Cached when we're expecting it to display as Wireframe as we normally see. What does "Child References Cached" mean?
With this reference chain the 2D Design model references the Drawing model, which itself is already cached. So while the direct attachment's Orientation may be Coincident and the Presentation is Wireframe, the Visible Edge state of those Drawing model reference attachments is still Cached – you can’t change that through a reference attachment. However, this should not be an issue since the Visible Edges column displaying as “Child References Cached” is an accurate description; i.e., a child (or nested) reference attachment is in a cached state.
