Running a macro using batch process in OpenBuildingsDesigner CONNECT Edition

Problem

I have my batch process already running a macro in V8i version. It fails to run in CONNECT Edition.

Solution

Things you need to have in order to execute batch process in CONNECT Edition:

a) A command file for batchprocess.txt .
b) The macro.bmr file in the corresponding location similar to this as per your dataset- C:\ProgramData\Bentley\OpenBuildings CONNECT Edition\Configuration\WorkSpaces\Building_Examples\worksets\BuildingTemplate_US\Standards\Macros.
c) And the .dgn files in which you wish to execute the batch process.


1.Launch OpenBuildingsDesigner CONNECT Edition>Open VBA MANAGER>Browse for the VBA project


2.Edit the currently selected macro.



3.Promote macro to VBA.


4.Open batch process>Browse/Edit/Create command file.

5.Process Batch Process Job






N.B: Change from V8i to CONNECT Edition- “Macros FILE NAME” to “macro play FILE NAME” in the command file as well as in the key-in.
