Compiling Object Lists


The Objects window can be used as an objects scratch pad. For example, you can compile a list of objects from a number of sources and then carry out various operations on any number of these objects at the same time. You add objects to the Objects window by dragging and dropping them either directly from graphics or from one of Bentley Facilities Planner's dialog boxes.

To add objects to the Objects window

  1. From the Planner menu, choose Tools > Object List.
    The Objects window opens.



  2. Do one of the following:
    In MicroStation, select one or more objects, then drag and drop them into the Objects window.
    or
    In any Bentley Facilities Planner dialog box, select one or more objects, then drag and drop them into the Objects window.

To remove objects from the list

  1. In the Objects window, select the objects you wish to remove.

  2. Right-click and choose Remove From List.
    The selected object names disappear from the list.

To filter the list to display a single class

  1. In the Objects window, right-click and choose Filter.

  2. From the sub menu, choose the desired object class.
    Only objects of the selected class display in the list.

To filter the list to display all classes

In the Objects window, right-click and choose Filter > Show All.
All object classes display in the list.
