    Deleting Areas

In Bentley Facilities Planner you can delete areas.

Note: When you delete areas, as long as no linking rules are broken, any areas within them are also deleted. If deleting an area(s) causes a linking rule to be broken, a warning message appears, asking if you want to proceed with the operation; click Yes or No as needed. If you proceed with the deletion of an area, which in turn breaks a linking rule, the areas within them are not deleted.

    To delete areas

    1. Using either the Element Selection tool or the Place Fence tool, select one or more areas.
    2. From the Planner menu, choose Area > Delete.
The Delete settings window opens, displaying all of areas contained in the selection set.

    3. In the view window, place a data point to confirm the deletion of the selected assets.
A dialog box opens asking, Are you sure you want to delete the selected object(s)?

    4. Click Yes.
      The selected areas are deleted.
